invites you to join us for the groundbreaking celebration of the new cultural center
9 a.m. Friday May 11, 2018
At the corner of Tahquitz & Indian Downtown Palm Springs
The new cultural center at the corner of Tahquitz and Indian in downtown Palm Springs will feature a museum and Agua Caliente
Spa & Bathhouse that celebrates the Tribe's ancient Agua Caliente Hot Mineral Springs, a gathering plaza, gardens and an oasis trail.
Inspiration for the cultural center's design includes Agua Caliente traditions such as basket weaving and pottery (ollas) and
elements found in nature including desert landscapes, Andreas Canyon rock formations, the Andreas Canyon stream and the
Washingtonia filifera palm trees — the only native palm tree to the California desert.
The Agua Caliente's partners on the project include: JCJ Architecture and the Penta Building Group.
